  3. How do I reorder checks online correctly?
    When reordering checks for your credit union checking account, be sure to use all preceding zeroes when entering your account number. That's a common mistake! Your entire account number appears at the bottom of each check. Reorder your checks from Deluxe Checks.


  1. How can I transfer money from my credit union account to another financial institution if I don't have a checking account with EPFCU?
    We can issue a check for you to deposit at another financial institution. It's faster to use Online Bill Pay, a wire transfer or set up a recurring automatic deposit.
  2. How do I send money to my child who attends college and has an EPFCU account?
    You can deposit money directly to your child's account by visiting a Service Center near your home or office. Use our Branch & ATM Locator to find a service center location closest to you. You can also make a payment to your child using Online Bill Pay or send him/her a wire transfer.
  3. How does the Shared Branch system work?
    Shared branches allow EPFCU members to make deposits or withdrawals nationwide, just as if you were at one of the credit union's branches. Services and hours may vary by location.

  5. How do I find the hours of the Family Service Centers?
    Generally, the hours of operation for Family Service Centers are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. To find specific hours for a local service center near you, use our Branch & ATM Locator.
  6. How is the shared branch system different from the Family Service Centers?
    Shared branches are credit unions who "share" their branches with other credit unions in the shared branching network. Family Service Centers are a separate branching network and are not affiliated with a specific credit union.
  7. How can I make deposits to my credit union accounts if visiting a branch office is not convenient?
    You can conveniently deposit checks through DeposZip from your computer by scanning your check or with a picture of your check taken from your smartphone. You can also deposit money by mail, wire transfer or a service center. Use our Branch & ATM Locator to find the closest service center location to you.

    The ATM is located inside the front door of the Leahy Building. Transactions are free for EPFCU members.
  2. How do I find the credit union's ATM in the Reagan Building/EPA?
    There are two ATMs at the Reagan Building/EPA facility. One is located outside the credit union office and one is located inside the Ariel Rios Building on the 7th floor. Transactions are free for EPFCU members.
  3. How do I find my options if I need credit union services on weekends?
    Cash withdrawals are available at our conveniently located service centers or ATMs. Use our Branch & ATM Locator.
  4. How do I find ATMs I can use free of charge?
    You may use any Allpoint, CU Here or EPFCU ATMs free of charge. That's more than 80,000 ATMs! Use our Branch & ATM Locator.
  5. How do I know which ATMs I can use with my EPFCU Visa Debit Card?
    Your debit card can be used for both purchases and cash. You may use any Allpoint, CU Here or EPFCU ATM for cash. Use our Branch & ATM Locator to find one near you.
  6. How much can I withdraw at an ATM in one day using my Visa Debit Card?
    You can withdraw up to $750.00 in cash daily from an ATM. You can also use your Visa Debit Card to make purchases up to a daily limit of $2500.00. If you will want to exceed this limit to make large purchases, please call us first to prevent future withdrawals that same day from being blocked.

    Sign up for Online Bill Payer through our home banking program, EP Online. Login from our home page.
  3. How do I reorder checks online?
    It's easy. Just click on the Quick Link "Reorder Checks" button on our homepage. Then, you will leave our site and go to Deluxe Checks website. You will need to enter the credit union's routing number: 254074222, your EPFCU checking account number as it appears on your checks with all preceding zeroes, and the starting check number for your reorder. You can also call us at 202-874-3210 or Deluxe directly at 1-877-838-5287 to place a reorder.


  1. Why were the office hours reduced at the Fort Worth branch?
    There were not enough transactions to support keeping the branch open five days a week. You may, however, access your accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days at week through EP Online. Or, visit one of our other convenient locations or shared branches.

  2. If I request a wire transfer to another financial institution, how long will it take?
    Usually a wire transfer takes only a few hours. International wire transfers may take longer.
  3. How do I request a wire transfer online?
    Simply click on the Quick Link for Forms and Applications to select Wire Transfer Application. There you will be able to provide instructions in an interactive form that is directed to a member of our staff. We will then process your request right away.
  4. How can I arrange to have my credit union loan payments made automatically by a transfer from another of my accounts at EPFCU?
    Ask any staff member for a transfer form and we'll take care of the rest!

    First mortgage loans are available through EPFCU. Call our Mortgage Hotline at 703-667-9281 to apply or for more information. Loan Consultants will lead you step-by-step through the whole process and answer any questions you may have.

    You can also access many mortgage loan tools and calculators on our website. Get preapproved or prequalified, calculate monthly payments with closing cost included, find out which mortgage program could be most advantageous to you and lots more.     The credit union sells Visa gift cards in amounts up to $500 at no charge available in the Main Office and Ronald Reagan Building branches.
